E.L.F.'s Translucent Matifying Powder

Not too long ago, E.L.F. (Eyes Lips Face) was taking 50% off on everything in their Studio Line. I purchased their Translucent Matifying Powder during that sale from their website. Normally, this product is $3, but I got it for $1.50 which is an amazing price for this product.

It's a really great powder that is true to its name and is lightweight. You'll see that it comes with a sponge applicator but I found that using the sponge is not as effective as using a big fluffy face brush, like Sigma's F30 brush (pictured below).

The only problem I have with E.L.F.'s translucent powder is that because the applicator isn't as effective as using a brush, this product could either do without the applicator all together and using smaller packaging, or simply extend the amount of product to fill the space that the applicator takes up. You'll see in the picture that the applicator takes up half of the space of the packaging. The reason they did this is likely to make it more travel-friendly, but then you end up using more product by using the applicator. I used mine up almost entirely in just three weeks (which is why I didn't photograph it).

Overall, I really like and recommend this product if you need a lightweight powder to set with or to tone down shine. However, I give it a B because of the packaging and small amount of actual product that is included. But for $1.50/$3, you can't go wrong!
