A while ago, I did a post on pigment storage which is the way that I store pigment samples from Coastal Scents and TKB Trading. It's also a great way to store broken eyeshadows.
I thought it'd be fun to show swatches of the pigment samples that I've collected (which are about $1 each) starting with the red ones.
Though I have shown mine in jars, the samples from Coastal Scents come in small bags.
These are pigments (aka mica powders) that don't have any adhesive ingredients in them (like regular eyeshadows). If you intend to use them as eyeshadows, a primer is needed in order to keep them in place.
Because they are free of other ingredients, they are very pigmented so a little goes a long way. All of the ones I've shown in this post are safe for use on the eyes, lips and face (as stated by Coastal Scents). For more information on each, I've provided links at the bottom of each photo.
I think $1 is a pretty good deal for the amount you receive. I definitely recommend checking out some of these pigments!
