Swatches of the Rimmel Glam Eyes HD Eyeshadow Quads

Finally!

See the original post by clicking here.

I was hoping to photograph these swatches when my DSLR is fixed, but I haven't been able to find the receipt.

I tried my best with my other camera, so here they are!

Each of the 8 eyeshadow quads is divided up into the shape of a Union Jack. The one photographed above is called 001 Black Cab. To view the rest of the colour combinations, click here.

Swatches of 001 Black Cab

Swatches of 002 English Oak

Swatches of 003 Royal Blue

Swatches of 004 Green Park

Swatches of 005 English Rose

Swatches of 006 Purple Reign

Swatches of 007 Heart of Gold

Swatches of 008 True Union Jack

These eyeshadows are pigmented and blend well, but they are difficult to use. The small triangular shapes are too small to get a standard sized eyeshadow brush into. I used a pencil brush to swatch these and even then, I ended up getting some of the other colours mixed in.

If you're looking to try Rimmel Glam Eyes Eyeshadows, I recommend the single eyeshadows as they are just as good in quality as these quads, but they are packaged in a practical way.

The colours in these quads are great, but it's unfortunate that not only are they difficult to get onto a brush, but they also don't contain very much of each colour except for the one in the middle.

Pigmentation: 4/5
Packaging: 2/5
Staying Power: 4/5
Price: $6-7
Availability: WalMart, Superstore (Canada), Shoppers Drug Mart (Canada)

NEW: Rimmel Glam'Eyes HD Quad Eye Shadows

I've been waiting for these to come to Canada ever since I saw them featured in a few blog posts online.

I found them at WalMart for $4.48 $6.48 each which is much cheaper than I was expecting. I thought they would be around $9 as many quads usually sell for.

EDIT: 02/08/2012- The price has increased to $6.48

There are 8 quads available so far, and they were released this week.

Read more about these by clicking here.

Rimmel Glam'Eyes HD Quad: 001 Black Cab
*My DSLR needs to be repaired so I apologize for the photo quality of my next few blogs. Luckily I photographed quite a bit of things before it broke, so hopefully I have enough to last until I get it fixed. For now, I'm using my older camera which isn't as good, but it gets the job done :)

Rimmel Glam'Eyes HD Quad: 008 True Union Jack

So far I can tell you that these are all very shimmery colours and are quite pigmented. I've only tested a few and some are a little more sheer than others, while some are quite opaque.

The only issue I know that will definitely have with these quads is the shape of the eyeshadows. You'll notice that the Union Jack shape creates small triangles, and this will make it difficult to get your brush/finger into the product.

I'm not sure why the first three quads don't have the Rimmel logo stamped in the middle, but I assume that they decided to stamp the logo after they made the first three quads.

I recommend checking these out if you see them at WalMart! They're definitely eye-catching and are being sold at a very reasonable price.

Swatches to come once I figure out the best way to photograph swatches with my old camera.

Rimmel Glam'Eyes: Mono Eye Shadow

Rimmel London's Glam'Eyes Eye Shadows are great! These can be found most anywhere that Rimmel London products are sold, and I purchased these at Walmart for about $3.50 each.
Colours (left to right): Backstage, Spicy Bronze
These apply very well, have just the right amount of shimmer and blend easily. I like using these for everyday looks.

The packaging is nice and sleek and not bulky.

Colours (left to right): Backstage, Spicy Bronze
You can tell from the picture above that I've used Backstage quite a bit. I find this is a great colour to combine with almost any colour. It is very versatile and could act as a highlight colour if used with a light hand. The colour Spicy Bronze is a nice colour as well as it is a rich bronze-brown colour with some gold shimmer. I like using this as a crease colour.

Here are the swatches:

I recommend these Mono Eye Shadows to everyone as they come in a few other colours that are mostly neutral and would suit many skin tones. They are also really affordable, great quality and last a long time!
