L'Oreal Paris La Couleur Infallible Eyeshadow

The L'Oreal La Couleur Infallible 24hr Eyeshadows have been out for a while in Canada, but I believe they have yet to be released in the US. I have accumulated 6 of them so far (4 of them from their Holiday collection). They are about $10 each but I purchased all mine either while they were on sale, or using a coupon.

These are unique eyeshadows in that they are not completely pressed (like most eyeshadows are), but they are not completely loose like a pigment or loose eyeshadow. They are very smooth, pigmented and shimmery.

Top colour: Endless Chocolat

After the lid is removed, you have to take out the black piece as shown above which reads "A conserver, Keep me" This is because the eyeshadows are very soft and could get messy.

This is Sahara Treasure. I broke up the eyeshadow a little bit to show you how soft it is. If this happens to yours, the black 'conserver' piece is what you would put on top and press down on the eyeshadow to make it press back together.

The new Holiday 2011 colours (of the ones I have shown) are: Emerald Lame, Bronze Divine, Sahara Treasure and Black Onyx. Burning Black and Endless Chocolat are in the permanent collection. I'm not sure if the Holiday colours are limited edition.

I believe that different countries sell different colours and the limited edition colours may be in permanent collections elsewhere.

These are really nice eyeshadows, unlike any I have used before. They are very smooth and have an "Iridescent Finish" (as described on the packaging). I would describe the finish are more shiny than anything.

The only drawback is that these will stain your skin if you don't use a primer or cream colour base underneath. They don't crease when used over a primer and would be great to use if you want to achieve a dramatic look.

  1. Where could I find them in Canada? Like which drugstore? I live on the Detroit/Windsor border and I'm always over there and would love to pick these up.

  2. Nice! I live near there :)

You can find these at WalMart and Shoppers Drug Mart and maybe Zellers, too. I'm not sure if there is a Superstore (large grocery store) in Windsor, but they have them as well, usually with a coupon :)
