Physicians Formula Matchmaker Blush in Natural

I bought this on sale at Shoppers Drug Mart for $12.49 (regular price is around $16). It didn't look like these were selling very well because there were a lot left and it went on sale about a week after they came out.

I wanted to see what the "matchmaker" part was all about and so I went with the one in Natural just in case it didn't really work (it also comes in Rose).

The claim: This blush will 'match' you by reacting to your skin's pH and the lighting.

The Claim: Will also wear for 14 hours. 

Comes with a small brush in the bottom compartment.

The lights seem gimmicky but can be useful if you're in a dark space.

I wore this blush for two days and noticed that it was too bright at first. After a few minutes, it had faded quite a bit (which I assume is the result of it 'matching' me) and then by the end of the day, it was barely noticeable.

It's hard to review this product because it's not meant to work the same way for everyone. The colour definitely changed, which for me was fading to a lighter version of its original colour. In this way, the product worked. However, with a bit of practice, you can make any blush "match" you, if all you're going to do is sheer it out and add a hint of colour.

The lights are cool, but unnecessary, unless you're someone who could benefit from something like this.

Overall, a decent product, but not worth it.

Physician's Formula Cream Eyeliner Trio

A few weeks ago, I purchased the Physician's Formula Custom Eye Enhancing Gel CreamLiner for green eyes which is part of the Shimmer Strips Collection.

I purchased it from Shopper's Drug Mart when they were having a 40% off Physician's Formula sale. It retails for about $10-15, depending on where you purchase it from (Walmart and Superstore also carry this brand).

This product contains three gel/cream liners that are meant to enhance green eyes. I have brown eyes, and I chose to purchase this trio because I liked the colours. This shows that you don't need to have a certain eye colour to purchase products that are meant for others. 

The three colours it has are a grassy-green, a deep purple, and a black with subtle green sparkle.

The consistency of the black colour is much a lot different than that of the other two colours; the black is a lot more creamy. When you apply these to your hand as a swatch, you'll notice that they dry rather quickly, and when you try to smudge them out after they dry, they barely budge. This is a great sign as it means that they won't fade as quickly as a pencil liner. 

My only complaint about this product is that, with the black especially, it does not create a completely solid and opaque black line the first time you put it on; it requires a bit of building. It is also really smooth, almost too smooth, and that is probably the reason why it needs to be built up through a second application. I think the black would be perfect if it applied the same way as the green colour. My least favourite colour is the purple, and not because of the actual colour itself, but because of how it applies. It seems to be a little more solid than the other two, and can be quite patchy if you apply it with your finger (as a swatch, colour base, etc). Though that is not its intended purpose, it is still something to consider.

Another thing I like is that the colours are stacked, and each colour comes apart in its own container. This is useful for travel, storage, or even sharing colours you may not like/use with your friends.

Overall, I give this product a B because although it is long-wearing, the consistency of the three colours is not the same, and the purple colour could be a little more pigmented.
